¼ cup icing sugar
1 cup butter / 2 cups flour
18 candied cherries (8 oz. is enough to do a double batch)
1 cup ground almonds
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add remaining ingredients, except cherries. Mix well with hands. Take a heaping tsp. of batter and form into balls. Push a cherry into centre of each ball and finish rolling into a ball.
Bake in oven at 325º F for 35 minutes. Roll baked cookies in fruit sugar while still hot.
