3/4 c Crisco
1/2 c sugar
1/4 c brown sugar, packed
1 egg
2 t vanilla
1/2 t almond
1 3/4 c flour
1/2 t baking powder
1/2 t salt
1/2 c pecans, chopped
3 1/2 to 4 dozen Kisses, unwrapped

Preheat oven to 350. Using electric mixer, cream Crisco and sugars til fluffy. Add egg and extracts and beat well. Add flour, baking powder, salt, nuts and mix til blended. Form dough into 1 inch balls. Press each ball around a kiss so kiss is completely enclosed. Bake 12 minutes on ungreased cookie sheet. DO NOT OVERBAKE! Frost and decorate as desired.
