2 T. yeast
¾ c. water (tepid)
¼ sugar
1 tsp. salt
2 eggs
4 c. flour
1 c. shortening or (1/4 c. butter.)

Directions:

Proof yeast & water.
Add sugar, salt, eggs, shortening, 2 c. flour – mix until smooth
Add remaining flour, mix.

Let raise ½ hr. Divide in half. Roll each half into 12” circle, spread with soft butter – cut into 16 wedges. Roll each wedge starting at wide edge.

Place on cookie sheet – let raise 1 hour.

Bake at 400º 10-15 minutes.
