Meatballs


Ingredients:  
Ingredients:  
2 lbs. ground beef
1 egg
1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
3 tbsp. fine dry bread crumbs

Directions:
Directions:
Mix well and form into ¾" balls. Brown in small amount of oil and cook 2 minutes or until done, shaking pan frequently to keep balls from going flat. Drain well on paper towels.
 

Sauce


Ingredients:

2 tbsp. margarine
2 onions, finely chopped
2 tbsp. white vinegar
½ tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
Juice of ¼ lemon
1 cup ketchup
½ cup water
¾ cup brown sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all ingredients together. Bring to a boil and simmer 20 minutes. Add meatballs to sauce.

Serve, chill or freeze. Frozen in small batches, these take 20 minutes to heat in the oven at 300 ºF.

This was a favourite when I was growing up! Goes well with rice as there is always extra sauce.
