Ingredients: 1 very hot cup water 1 tea bag (good dark Tea, Green Tea will work too) 2 ounces whiskey (we use Jameson Irish Whiskey but Jack Daniels will also do) 1 tablespoon honey 1 teaspoon lemon juice 1 slice fresh lemon (optional)
*Note: All amounts are 'guesstimates'

Directions:Place the whisky - Honey - Tea bag(s): in a large microwave safe mug with 1 cup of Very Hot water. NOTE: microwave if it's not hot enough, place in the microwave for 1 minute or until it is piping hot, but not boiling. Add the honey. Pour the hot water into the mug over the spoon you used for the honey to get off the last little drops. Add the lemon juice and stir well. Add the lemon slice and serve. |

Notes: Supposed to be a cure for the common cold. The effect of the drink may just make you not feel so bad? Bumpy McGrath (Tommy's Great Grandfather) and Nana McGrath (Tommy's Great Grandmother) used this and passed it down (as well as straight Whiskey on the gums of teething babies. The 'cure all' back then.
