Pizza toppings such as chopped bell peppers, onions, pizza pepperoni quartered, pre-cooked hamburger, bacon bits, mushrooms, chopped celery, pizza sauce or our Basic Tomato Sauce recipe, shredded cheese, parsley, oregano, Italian seasoning, etc.

Directions:
Make your favourite pizza dough recipe. Spread dough out into a rectangle on a baking sheet, covered in parchment paper. [Parchment isn't mandatory but it does make cleanup easier] Spread sauce over most of the dough, leaving a 3 in. border on the top long side and a 1 in. border on remaining sides.

Spread a generous helping of grated cheese over the sauce. Add pizza toppings as desired and cover with more cheese. Whisk up an egg and brush the top dough edge to make it moist and sticky. Fold in the two short sides in about 1 in. Brush these newly folded flaps with egg.

Preheat oven to 500ºF. Roll up tightly into a log, leaving just plain dough showing. Brush the Stromboli log with remaining egg. Cut a few diagonal slits in the top and sprinkle with cheese and parsley. Bake for 8-10 mins. or until golden brown. Let stand 5-10 mins. before serving. Serve with favourite sauce.
