Notes: Cobblers were always a big hit in the family. Dad loved them and he would often pick the pears off our pear tree in mom's yard to make the cobbler with. He would also gather blackberries from up and down the fence row in front of the house. He would take the grandkids with him to gather the pears and the blackberries for the cobbler. We would usually eat it right out of the oven because it was so warm and delicious! I can remember the smell - wonderful!
