Personal Notes:
Mom always had a pound cake in her cake dish at home. This was one of dad's favorite desserts. Mom loved it also. There are so many pictures and memories of this delicious cake. When family and neighbors would visit, mom would have her pound cake and quickly offered it as part of the Southern hospitality. Great food has been a tradition in our family. It brings back such wonderful memories. Mom would fix Dad's lunch in the morning before he left. She would always put a slice of the pound cake in his lunch bucket.
