2/3 c. margarine
1/3 c. brown sugar
1 egg (separated)
1 1/3 c. sifted flour
Jam
Finely chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Soften margarine. In a bowl beat margarine and sugar until creamy. Add egg yolk, then flour. Place egg white in a bowl. Shape into 1 inch balls and roll in egg white and then into chopped nuts. Make a thumbprint depression in center of cookie and fill with jam. Bake on a greased cookie sheet at 350º for 15 minutes.
