1 egg
½ c. sugar
¼ tsp. salt
¼ c. molasses
½ c. boiling water
1 c. flour
¼ c. melted shortening
¼ tsp. ginger
1 tsp. soda

Directions:
Directions:
Beat egg; add shortening. Sift dry ingredients together & add, beating thoroughly. Add molasses. Dissolve soda in boiling water. Add & beat until smooth. Pour into greased 8" pan. Bake at 350º for 20 - 30 minutes.
