Ingredients:
Ingredients:
4 C. Flour
9 tsp. Baking Powder
2 tsp. Salt
6 Tbs. Shortening
2 C. Milk
3 Tbs. Sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 425şF. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Cut in shortening until mixture is crumbly. Add milk and sugar then lightly stir. Knead very gently and roll out to ½ in. thickness. Cut into preferred shapes, lay out on baking sheets and bake for 15-20 mins. or until lightly browned.

Remove from oven and let stand for 5 mins. before transferring to a wire rack to cool. Standing time allows biscuits to firm up a little so they won't break.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
Betty Crocker isn't the only one that can make biscuits. Have you ever read the ingredients list? That's right, flour, baking powder, shortening, salt... no need to buy Bisquick when you can easily make your own.

Tip: use edgeless baking sheets and stagger the biscuits for better air flow and a more evenly browned biscuit.
