Pour batter in hot skillet. I always like to heat butter in the skillet before pouring in the batter.

I always doubled the recipe. It is enough for 5 people to have 3 or for cakes.

If batter is to thick for your taste, add a bit of milk. Not to much though it will thin out pretty quick.
These pancakes will not always turn brown, most of the time they stay white for me. The only time they turned golden is when I first purchased the baking powder after that they stayed white. They are still tasty though.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:

I grew up with grandpa making sour dough pancakes every Saturday morning for us. Sometimes I would spread peanut butter on them ( my favorite when I was younger), sometimes jelly, but as an adult I liked them with pure maple syrup and I enjoyed the taste of the sourness of the dough. I wish I could figure out how to get the dough to be a little more sour. (Later notation, if you let the starter ferment longer, before mixing with ingredients, you should get a more soured taste).
