3/4 c. shortening
3 c. sugar
4 eggs
2 c. pumpkin
2/3 c. water
3 1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 c. chopped nuts
2/3 c. raisins

Preheat oven to 350
Grease bottom only of loaf pans.

Mix shortening,and sugar in lg. bowl.
Add eggs, water, and pumpkin mix well.
Stir in flour,soda, salt, b.powder, cinnamon and nutmeg.
Mix in nuts and raisins.
Pour into loaf pans
Bake 1 hr. and 10 min. unless using mini pans.
Then bake shorter time.
Test with toothpick inserted til comes out clean.
Remove from oven and cool
Makes 2- 9x5x3 loaves or 3 -8 1/2x4 1/2x2 1/2 loaves or 6 mini loaves
