Ingredients: 6-12 hardboiled eggs ( eggs that are very fresh are really hard to peel and will not make good deviled eggs) mayonnaise (enough to mix into cooked yolks and to make the amount you need to fill the whites) mustard (about 1 tsp. to taste) a dash of garlic powder (if making them for Drew, you may want to omit) chopped chives or parsley paprika

Directions: |
Directions:Cut hardboiled eggs in half. Take out cooked yolks and place them in a small mixing bowl. Smash the yolks with a fork and add mayonnaise, mustard and garlic powder. Stir well. Try to get most of the lumps out. Fill the empty egg whites with the yolk mixture. I use two teaspoons. One is for scraping the yolk mixture out of the dipping spoon into the egg white shell.
For decoration, you can sprinkle the deviled eggs lightly with paprika or chop fresh or dried chives and sprinkle on top and add a few sprigs of fresh parsley around the edges of the plate for color. |

Notes: "Devilish eggs" (deviled eggs) are a tradition at all family gatherings! I make plenty as they are a finger food that will go quickly! If you are taking them to a picnic transportation can be tricky so make sure you have a good lid or are tightly wrapped with plastic. I usually place a toothpick in each egg. This helps to pick them up when eating and also keeps the plastic wrap off them when storing and transporting. Remember to keep them cool.
