2 1/2 C flour
2 C brown sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
2/3 C shortening
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 C sour mild ( 1 Tbsp. vinegar to 1 C fresh milk )

Directions:
Directions:
Mix flour, brown sugar and salt in bowl. Cut in shortening. Save 1/2 C crumbs. Add remaining dry ingredients. Mix well. Turn into 2 greased and floured 8X1/2 round pans or 1 9X13 cake pan. Top with crumbs. Bake at 375 degrees for 25-30 minutes.
