"I have long believed that good food, good eating is all about risk. Whether we're talking about unpasteurized Stilton, raw oysters or working for organized crime 'associates,' food, for me, has always been an adventure."--Anthony Bourdain

Personal Notes:
Work-Life Balance is something that I have spent my entire life trying to achieve. Work can consume you and volunteer obligations can cause an over-commitment of time and personal resources. While hard work is an important virtue, equally important is family, exercise, relaxation, prayer and moments of solitude.

To truly enjoy all aspects of life, balance is essential. Only now am I beginning to realize how important it is to 'work at' that balance. As I matured, I began to give myself permission to enjoy travel, time off, spur of the moment adventures, extended vacations, time for solitude, prayer and other personal activities important to me!

The lesson learned is that I am better for others in my life when I am rested, refreshed and feel renewed in mind, body and spirit.
