2 C sugar
½ C water
1 C light corn syrup
¼ C butter
2 cups raw peanuts
1 ½ tsp soda

Directions:
Directions:
1. Combine sugar, water, corn syrup and butter in a heavy skillet. Cook over medium heat to boiling. Stir constantly with a wooden spoon for 5 min.
2. If you have a candy thermometer, it should boil to 275*. If you don’t have a thermometer, boil until the soft crack stage ( a drop in cold water become firm) ( about 30 min. )
3. Add the peanuts and boil to a hard crack stage, 295*, about 15 min. more.
4. Add baking soda and remove from heat.
5. Pour into a buttered cookie sheet, immediately.
6. Once it hardens completely, remove and break apart. Store in an airtight container.
