1 cup uncooked rice
½ stick butter or margarine
1 small chopped onion (optional for those who do not care for onions)
1 teaspoon salt
1 (2-ounce) can drained mushrooms
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 small can beef consomme
1 soup can of water

Directions:
Directions:
Brown the rice in butter. Add onion and cook until tender. Then add salt, mushrooms, Worcestershire sauce, beef consomme, and water. Place in a large, greased casserole dish. Cover and place in oven. Bake at 325° for 30 to 45 minutes or until all liquid is absorbed and rice is fluffy.
