1/2 c. butter
1 tbsp. sugar
2 1/2 c. crumbs (Zwieback toast)
4 c. thick applesauce
1 c. whipping cream

Directions:
Directions:
Heat butter and stir in sugar. Brown crumbs in mixture until crisp (lightly toasted).

Please alternate layers of crumbs and applesauce in serving dish, beginning and ending with a layer of crumbs. Chill.

Before serving, top cake with swirls of whipped cream.
