1 ½ pound very lean ground beef
1 head green cabbage
1 large green pepper / seeded and chopped
1 large Vidalia onion
2 cans stewed tomatoes
2 teaspoons sugar / Splenda© (your choice)
2 cloves garlic/ minced finely
2 teaspoons vegetable oil / or butter
¼ water
salt / pepper to taste

In a large deep skillet, I use my chicken fryer, heat the oil and cook the onion, green pepper and garlic for 3-5 minutes till add ground beef and brown lightly. Drain any excess fat.Add water and cut up cabbage - cooking till slightly wilted, 2-4 minutes.

Add stewed tomatoes and sugar/sweetener, seasoning and hot sauce. Cover and cook to blend flavors and thicken.

Serve over Jasmine rice with hot rolls for a complete dinner.

So much easier than REGULAR stuffed cabbage - and SO GOOD ! ( Can combine ingredients with 1 box of beef broth and 2 cups of additional water to make a tasty soup.)
