1 1/2 pt. vinegar
2 lb. apples cut small
1 oz. salt
1/4 lb. raisins, chopped
1 oz. ground ginger
1/2 lb. brown sugar
2 lb. chopped onions
1/2 lb. sultanas

Boil all till quite soft.

This is a recipe of my grandmother's (Kathleen Alice James, née Hobbs). She wrote it out in her trademark green ink to send to her brother John, probably some time in the early 1950's. John's daughter Gillian found it, and sent it to me.
