2 c. flour, sifted
1/2 tsp. salt
4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. soda
1/4 c. shortening
1 c. buttermilk

Directions:
Directions:
Sift together the flour, salt, baking powder, and soda three times. Add the shortening. Mix in the buttermilk all at once. Toss on floured board and knead for 30 seconds. Roll to 1/2-inch and cut out. Bake at 450 for 12-15 minutes.
