Ingredients: ¾ cup butter, softened ¾ cup granulated sugar ¾ cup firmly packed dark brown sugar 2 large eggs 1½ tsp vanilla extract 2¼ cups plus 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour 1 tsp baking soda ¾ tsp salt 2 - 12 oz pkg semisweet chocolate morsels

Directions:Beat butter and sugars at medium speed with an electric mixer until creamy. Add eggs and vanilla, beating until blended.
Combine flour, baking soda, and salt in a small bowl; gradually add to butter mixture, beating well. Stir in morsels. Drop by tablespoonfuls onto lightly greased baking sheets.
Bake at 350 degrees for 8 to 14 minutes or until desired degree of doneness. Remove to wire racks to cool completely. |

Notes: It was an inspired moment when I whipped these up for Chloe's second birthday. Folks were clamoring left and right for the recipe, and I was like, "Easy folks, I'll get you the recipe." Later, I realized I had misplaced it, and there was a frenzy. Friends and family members came running out into the kitchen to get their hands on as many of the remaining cookies as possible. It was that moment when Mamaw and Bob Heimach squared off for the last cookie, that I knew this recipe was a real winner. Fortunately I was able to find it once again and get it to you in this recipe book. Enjoy!
