1/2 c butter
1 c sugar
1 egg
2 c flour
2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp cinnamon
3/4 tsp cloves
1 1/2 c applesauce
1 c chopped dates
1 c raisins
1 c chopped black walnuts
1 tsp vanilla
2/3 c bourbon

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 F, Grease or use cooking spray on two loaf pans

Cream butter & sugar, add egg and then rest of the ingredients,
Pour batter into loaf pans, adding a couple Marshino cherries on top for decoration
Pour batter into prepared pans and bake in oven for 1 hour

This came into the family from Brother Jerry Jackson my Mom's brother. It's not your typical fruitcake and my Mom would usually make it around the holidays.
