For the dough:
4.5 c. flour
5 tbsp. sugar
2 tbsp. yeast
3.5 oz. butter (slightly less than 1 full stick)
1 c. milk

Directions:
Directions:
Pre-heat oven to 375º
Mix everything together until it become a dough, and then wait an hour until it rises.

After an hour, divide the dough into 5 pieces. Roll each of the 5 pieces into a circle. Cut each circle into 8 triangulnar slices (like a pizza pie)


Making a mixture of:
1 spoon of cinnamon +
3 spoons of sugar

For each triangle, spread the mixture and roll into a croissant. Brush croissants with egg.
(if you need more cinnamon and sugar make more).

Wait 15 min for croissants to rise even more before baking.
Remove when the cookies are golden in color.


After the cookies is ready:

On a cooking pot, mix on a small fire:

1 spoon of sugar and 3 spoons of water and then Brush it on the cookies gently

Monica's favorite! Doda Joyce would always send a few batches for us to take back home to New York. I think we even asked the stuardess to refrigerate them for us once or put them on ice!
