1 stick butter
1 medium or large onion
3 cloves garlic
1/2 cup flour
1/4 tsp of salt (salt to taste)
1/4 tsp pepper
6 cups 2% milk
8 cups chopped broccoli florets (from a 40 oz bag of frozen broccoli)
1tbsp of chicken bullion
4 cups shredded cheddar cheese
2 cups half and half

Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter and sauté the onions in butter. Minced the garlic and add to the onions while sautéing.
Add 1/2 cup flour to onions and whisk it in. Add salt and pepper. Add milk and stir occasionally over medium heat.
Add broccoli and stir in and cook until broccoli is softened, approx 20-30 min.
While broccoli is cooking add 1 tbsp of bullion.
Add cheese by stirring in until melted along with half and half.
