1 large can yams
1 #2 can crushed pineapple
4 golden apples
1/2 c. brown sugar
3 Tbsp. margarine, melted
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
1/3 c. chopped pecans

Directions:
Directions:
In a 12 x 12 baking dish, melt margarine. Drain pineapple and reserve juice. Add brown sugar and pineapple evernly over melted margarine. Peel and quarter apples in saucepan with 1/2 c. water. Bring to boil. Simmer until apples are done. Drain. Drain yams. Place, alternately, yams and apples over pineapple mixture. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes. Top with cream cheese topping. Sprinkle cinnamon over top of mixture.
CREAM CHEESE TOPPING: Mix cream cheese with small amount of pineapple juice to soften. Add pecans and blend. Serve over casserole after it has been removed from over. Do not bake topping.
