3/4 cup shortening
1 1/4 cup brown sugar
2 T. milk
1 T. vanilla
1 egg
2 1/2 cups flour
1 t. salt
3/4 t. baking soda
1 cup choc. chips
1 cup nuts, optional

Directions:
Directions:
Combine shortening, brown sugar, milk, and vanilla. Beat in egg. Combine and then mix in flour, salt, and baking soda. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts. Bake at 350 for 8-12 minutes depending on oven.
