⅛ lb butter
½-¾ c barley
½ c chopped onion
1 can (4oz) mushrooms and juice
2 chicken bouillon cubes
Celery seed or celery salt to season (@ ½ tsp or more to taste)
1 ½ c water
1 chicken (or 2 breasts and 2-3 thighs) pieces chopped

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º
Sauté barley in butter with onions until barley turns brown.
Add mushrooms, chicken bouillon, celery seed or salt, water, and chicken to the barley and onions.

Mix all ingredients together in a casserole dish and bake for 1 hour 15 minutes.

Add ½ c of slivered almonds on top of casserole for last 15 minutes.
