1 roast (outside round is typical)
1 yellow onion
1 large carrot
1 turnip or rudabega
1 cup beef stock
3 garlic cloves
beef rub or oven roast spice blend

slow cooker with timer

Directions:
Directions:
1. peel n chop all veggies. course is fine. throw them in the slow cooker.
2. clean and dry the roast. apply rub and seasoning. place on top of the bed of veggies in pot.
3. add 1 cup of beef stock.
4. set slow cooker timer for about 4-6 hours on low. depending on size.
5. that's it....baste occasionally.
6. when done save the liquid for gravy base.

This one is basically start and forget. We often cstart the slow cooker before work, or come home st lunch.
Serve with mashed potatoes, gravy made from the juices, peas n carrots with sautéed mushrooms n onions.
