Ingredients:
Ingredients:
2 Pillsberry crescent roll tubes. I use the ones that are sheets
Six -8 Steakums Cut into 1 inch strips
One green pepper thinly slice
One small onion thinly sliced
2 tablespoons butter
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella.
One egg and some Italian seasoning for pasting

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375°
Melt butter in frying pan and stir in steakums peppers and onions, Cook on medium high stirring until no pink remains and vegetables are semi tender, around 10 minutes. Remove from pan .
Dump in a colander to drain.

Unroll crescent rolls on a cookie sheet or silplat , Place half of the steak mixture down the middle long ways, filling about 2 inches wide. Top with mozzarella Make slits in the crescent roll about 1 inch apart down the sides and braid them side-by-side up over the top. Brush with scrambled egg and sprinkle with Italian seasoning to taste. Bake 15 to 20 minutes till browned. Remove from oven and let sit for 5 to 10 minutes if you can wait .

I think this recipe would work equally well with leftover chicken or even the chicken steakums.. Might try with the chicken and broccoli or chicken and spinach next.
Would work well as appetizer if served with dipping sauce. Maybe Velveeta cheese and salsa
