5 Cups of Flour
2 Teaspoons Baking Powder
2 Tablespoons of shortening (Crisco is the best)
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 3/4 cup hot water

Directions:
Directions:
mix all dry ingredients first, flour, baking powder, salt.
Then add the shortening (Crisco), break shortening with fingers or with pastry cutter.
Add first the 1 cup of water slowly in the middle of the bowl, mix with large fork or by hand, then add the rest of the water slowly.

have some flour on the side, in case, little bit of flour is needed. Mix dough well, must feel soft to the touch, not sticky, must be moist. Now dough is read to break into multiple balls of small dough.

Next Lightly flour your rolling area, and roll each ball with a rolling pin to about 1/8 inch thickness.

Place each tortilla on a medium hot cast iron skillet. Cook for about 1 to 2 minutes on each side, or until the tortilla does not look doughy.
