Ingredients:
Ingredients:
6 slices of bread (any will do, but I prefer Texas toast or potato bread)
3 eggs
3 tbs flour
3 tbs cinnamon
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
2 c. milk

Directions:
Directions:
Combine all ingredients except the bread into a medium sized bowl. Stir until well mixed.

Grab a flat pan or electric skillet. Get the pan hot and grease it with butter or cooking spray.

Dip bread into the mixture until it is soggy but not falling apart. Put as many slices on the hot pan as you can without allowing them to touch. (The egg mixture may spread, so you don't want the slices to get stuck together. Plus, you need room to flip!)

Allow the toast to get a nice brown crisp before flipping it to the other side. Allow it to cook on the other side too.

Serve as they come out of the pan or put on a warming plate until ready to serve.

Personal Notes:
This is the way my family prefers French toast. I make this whenever I get the chance. They like to eat it topped with Nutella, peanut butter, butter, powdered sugar, agave, and maple syrup. No one eats at the same time because they grab it as soon as I take it off the griddle. Need to serve more than 2-3 people? Just double or triple the amounts. If you have left overs, allow them to cool and place them in a freezer bag. Then, you can take out one or two slices at at time and heat them in the microwave. My family does this all the time!
