1 3/4 cup flour 3/4 cup yellow corn meal 1/2 cup sugar 7 teaspoons baking powder 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/2 cup salad oil 2 whole eggs 1 cup milk
Sift flour twice before measuring. Measure dry ingredients; then sift together three times. Place in a large mixing bowl and add oil, eggs and milk. Carefull stir until completely blended, but don't overmix. Pour batter into a well greased 8-inch square baking pan. Bake in 425º oven for 25 minutes.
