1 lbs ground pork
2 lbs ground beef
1 medium onion
½ tsp allspice
pinch of cloves
2 tsp salt
½ tsp pepper
½ tsp garlic powder
1½ cups water
sage to taste
¾ cups breadcrumbs (or 2 medium cooked & mashed potatoes)

Roll pastry. Line pie plates. Set aside.
Put next 9 ingredients into extra large saucepan. Bring to boil. Simmer 20 minutes. Stir occasionally. Add crumbs (or potatoes) and stir. Mixture should be moist and thick. Cool.

Line two 9-inch (23cm) pie plates with pastry. Fill with meat mixture. Dampen outer edges with water. Cover with pastry. Press edges to seal. Cut several slits in top crust. Bake in 375F oven for 1 hour until browned. Cut into edges to serve.
