1/4 cup chaga mushroom (tea cut chunks or smaller)
1-2 pieces of rehmannia root
2-4 liters of spring water (purified tap OK)

Put 2-4 liters of spring water in a large pot. Bring to a boil. Add chaga mushroom and rehmannia root. Reduce heat to low. Simmer for 1-5 hours. Turn off heat.

This broth is great as a base for soups, smoothies, or drunk like a tea. Chaga mushroom is the king of the mushrooms, and is incredibly rich in antioxidants and other healthful properties. Rehmannia root is revered by health enthusiasts worldwide. As you drink/use this, you can just keep adding more water and reheating. Pots of this have gone on and on on my stove top for weeks.
