1 cup shortening
2 cups brown sugar
½ cup molasses
8 eggs
Add 1 quart buttermilk
6 cups bran
Mix 4 cups flour
1 ½ tbsp baking powder
2 tsps baking soda
1 tbsp salt
Add 2 cups raisins

Preheat oven to 425º.
