Ingredients:  
2 cups plain flour
2 cups sugar
1/2 tsp salt, mix and set aside
1 cup water
1/2 cup shortening
1 stick butter
3 T cocoa Bring to boil and pour over flour mixture
1/2 cup buttermilk
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp vanilla flavoring
2 eggs Mix and add to above mixture

Icing

6 T. milk
3 T. cocoa
1 stick butter
1 box of confectioners sugar
1 cup pecans
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Pour cake mixture into a large baking pan and cook for 20 mins at 350 degrees. Icing: Bring to boil the milk, cocoa and butter, add sugar pecans and vanilla mix well, I use a mixer, spread over the sheet cake
