"I have long believed that good food, good eating is all about risk. Whether we're talking about unpasteurized Stilton, raw oysters or working for organized crime 'associates,' food, for me, has always been an adventure."--Anthony Bourdain
This recipe for Grandpa Harry's Hot Dish, by Harry Luurs, is from Brumbaugh Family Cookbook ,
one of the cookbooks created at FamilyCookbookProject.com. We help
families or individuals create heirloom cookbook treasures.
1 lb. hamburger 12 oz. noodles 2 cans cream of chicken soup 1 can green beans 1 can peas 1 can red, spicy, or chili beans 1 can or 1/2 bag of thawed frozen corn 1 bag tater tots or puffs
Brown hamburger. Cook noodles according to package. In a casserole dish, mix vegetables and soup. Add browned hamburger. Layer the cooked noodles on top of the mixture. Top off with frozen tater tots or puffs. Bake approx. 45 minutes at 400 degrees or until tater tots are light brown.
If there are any leftovers we put in individual containers and freeze for a handy, quick meal at a later time.
