1 cup water
2 squares unsweetened chocolate
1/3 cup sugar
dash salt
4 cups milk
whipped cream or marshmallows (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
In a saucepan combine water, chocolate, sugar, and salt. Cook and stir over medium-low heat until chocolate melts. Gradually stir in milk, heat just to boiling. Do not boil. Remove from heat. Beat with a rotary beater until frothy. Serve with whipped cream or marshmallows.
Makes 6 servings.

For Spicy Chocolate:
Prepare hot chocolate as above, except stir in 1 tsp. ground cinnamon, and 1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg into the chocolate water before heating.
