2 ¼ c. Original Bisquick mix
⅔ c. milk

Gravy
1 lb. Jimmy Dean sausage
¼ - ¾ c. all-purpose flour, more if needed
2 - 3 c. milk (2% or whole), more if needed
Salt and black pepper to taste

Biscuits
Heat oven to 450º. Stir ingredients until soft dough forms. Turn onto surface dusted with Bisquick mix. Knead 10 times. Roll dough ½" thick. Cut with 2½" cutter. Place on ungreased cookie sheet and bake 8 to 10 minutes or until golden brown.

Gravy
Warm a large skillet over medium heat. Add the sausage and break into chunks with a spatula. Cook until the meat is crumbled and browned all the way through. Add the flour and cook until dissolved, about 1 minute. Stir in the milk. Cook, whisking frequently, until the gravy is very thick and bubbly (you can add more milk later if you need to thin). Season with salt* and lots of freshly ground black pepper.

*Taste before adding salt; you may not need it because the sausage is salty.
