3 1/2 cups all purpose flour plus 1 teaspoon baking powder
1 1/2 cups butter
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon almond extract
green food color (or other if desired)
decorations if desired

Directions:
Directions:
Beat butter for 30 seconds and add sugar beating until light and fluffy.
Add egg and extracts and beat well.
Gradually add dry ingredients and food color.
Beat until well blended.
Force through cookie press onto ungreased cookie sheet.
Decorate as desired.
Bake 9 minutes at 400°.

Bea Lunn made these green trees every Christmas and gave them to all the grandchildren. Other shapes and colors can also be made but Jim will only eat green trees, preferably frozen.
