Jerrie, my sister from another mother! We have had lots of escapades through the years, I have picked one to share. Many years ago when times were quite a different era ( conservative high school principal, conservative Mom's), Jerrie & I had this great idea to experiment with her hair ( a lovely shade of dark blonde). Well...I bleached her hair at my house with the plan to make her a blonder version of a 15 year old Goddess! Apparently, I was lacking the necessary beauty school skills ( she says I got a call from my boyfriend, talked for-EVER, and left the bleach on too long!). Needless to say....my masterpiece went terribly wrong, and she ended up with a pallette of platinum blonde, red & orange streaked hair! A sight to see and the proverbial " hot mess"! For some reason, we forgot to let her Mom in on our plans. For the record...her Mom was not too impressed ( to put it mildly). When Jerrie asked her if she could buy some coloring to try to reverse my handy work...well....let's just say her answer was an ear popping NO! She made her wear it that way until it grew back out ( and trust me, that was not an overnight process)! Did my bestest friend Jerrie harbor ill-will toward little ole me over this lovely ( not!) " do"? Nooooooo...our friendship has spanned and survived 50 years!
