1 Cup Margarine
1 1/2 Cup Sugar
3 Eggs
1 Can Fruit Cocktail (drained)
1 Cup Raisins
1 1/2 Cup Nuts (opt)
3 1/2 Cup Flour
1 tsp Cinnamon
1 tsp Cloves
1/2 tsp Salt
1 tsp Baking Soda dissolved in 1 tbsp. of hot water
1 tsp Vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Combine Margarine and Sugar.
Add baking soda and vanilla.
Combine dry ingredients.
Alternate adding the fruit cocktail and flour mixture until mixed.
Add raisins and nuts(opt).
Bake at 350º for 8-10 minutes until starting to brown around the edges.

This is one of brother Bobby's favorite of Mom's cookies.
I prefer them without the raisins but Bob says that's just not right!
