2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. soda
1 c. sugar
1/2 c chopped nuts
1 c. sliced cranberries
Juice and grated rind of 1 orange
Hot water
1 egg, beaten
2 tbsp. melted shortening

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all the dry ingredients together. Add beaten egg. Add hot water to the juice of orange to equal 3/4 cup liquid. Bake in greased and floured loaf pan. Bake 1 hour at 350. Cool and remove from pan.
