1 C shortening (butter flavored)
1 C sugar
1 C packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla extract
2 C all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2 C quick cooking oats
2 C crisp rice cereal
1 C flaked coconut
1/2 bag chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350º

In a large mixing bowl, cream shortening and sugars until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Combine the flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt; gradually add to creamed mixture and mix well. Stir in oats, cereal, coconut and chips.

Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls (use large scoop) 2" apart onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake 10-11 minutes or until golden brown. Remove to wire racks.
