1 c. chopped roasted unbleached almonds
1 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1/3 c. brown sugar, packed
2 tbsp. water
1/2 tsp. baking soda
chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Sprinkle 1/2 of the almonds in a buttered 9" x 13" pan. In a 3 qt. saucepan, melt butter and sugars and water. Mix well. Stir constantly until boiling. Place thermometer in mixture. Boil to 300, (hard crack stage), stirring occesionally to prevent burning. Remove from heat. Stir in soda, WORK FAST. Pour and spread over almonds. Sprinkle chips over and spread. Sprinkle almonds voer and press lightly.
