14 large cucumbers
Fresh boiling water
1 qt. vinegar
8 C. sugar
2 T. pickling Spice
2 T. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Pack the cukes into a large crock and cover with fresh boiling water.
Drain and recover with fresh boiling water each day for 4 more days.
On the 5th day drain and thick slice the cukes.
Make a syrup of the remaining ingredients, bring to a boil and pour over the cuke slices. Let stand for 3 days.
On the 4th day, bring to a boil, then pack into sterilized jars and seal.
