2 c milk
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 1/2 tsp vanilla (used at separate times)
6 egg yolks
3/4 c sugar
1/2 c pumpkin puree 
2 c cream
1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
1/4 tsp ground cloves

1 c rum 

Directions:
Directions:
In a medium saucepan, stir together milk, cinnamon, and 1/2 tsp vanilla, heating over the lowest setting for 5 minutes.  After 5 minutes, bring to a boil slowly, stirring often.

In a large bowl, whisk together egg yolks and sugar until fluffy.  Slowly wish hot milk mixture into the eggs.  Pour back into the saucepan.  Stir in pumpkin puree and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly for 3 minutes.  Do not allow to boil.  Remove from heat and let cool for 1 hour.

Stir in cream, 1 tsp vanilla, nutmeg, cloves, and rum.


Refrigerate overnight before serving.  After a few hours, eggnog will separate.  Shake well before serving.


Can store in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
