Ingredients: 2 and 1/4 C. flour
3/4 C. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 C. vegan butter (like Earth Balance)
1/2 C. non -hydrogenated vegetable shortening
1/4 C. plain or vanilla non-dairy yogurt
1 tsp. vanilla
colored sugars and/or sprinkles

Directions: |
Directions:Oven 375 degrees
Mix dry ingredients together in electric mixer bowl
Add the butter and shortening. Continue to mix until shortening is cut in.
Add the yogurt and vanilla and beat until combined.
Using the cookie press, press dough out onto un-greased cookie sheet.
Decorate with colored sugar or sprinkles if desired.
Bake 10-12 minutes, or until just golden brown at the edges. |

Notes: GRANNY SAYS.....Nicole brought this recipe with her last Christmas at her mom’s house. We made them and they turned out great and good tasting too. I have been having problems with my cookie press cookie recipe the past several years, for some reason....too much moisture in the butter or shortening now-a days?? Not sure what the problem is, but have used the same recipe for years and no problem, now the recipe won’t work for some strange reason. The trick is getting the dough just right or it won’t stick to the pan when it comes out of the cookie press. But we had great results with this recipe. Will definitely change to this one next time I make them. Or it could be just Nicole’s wonderful baking skills that is putting this old Granny to shame.....; )
